A Great One Passes Away
Avery Robert Cardinal Dulles has passed away. A rarity in that he was elevated to be a Prince of the Church (Cardinal) without ever being made a bishop. His writings are numerous and many are gems. His conversion to the Church was very much an intellectual journey, once saying that after he read many books on the faith that "It just made sense." His passing inspired me to go on Amazon and pick up a couple of books of his which I have not read. When someone like Cardinal Dulles passes away it feels like there is a great loss for the Church. But let us rejoice in a great one who has gone home to the Father.
